The promising start-up based in Saint-Pacôme, in the Kamouraska area, recently relocated its technological development activities and spaces to an industrial food distribution center nearby. This relocation will enable CultiGo, its sustainable and innovative food distribution model, to set a new standard in the food industry.

INNO-3B, a Quebec start-up specialized in controlled-environments and vertical farming, had been operating from the church of Saint-Pacôme, a small town an hour East of Quebec City, since 2014.

Five years later, the fast-growing company is now relocating into an bigger industrial building, significantly increasing its productivity capabilities.

A new industry standard

By relocating its manufacturing activities, the company is marking a crucial step in its development.

Having been able to close a first financing round of $6 million, bringing together several private funds, Inno-3B is now focusing on CultiGo, an innovative business model.

"CultiGo aims to change the existing food production model through its promise to reduce GHG emissions, eliminate pesticides and promote local production at scale. We have created a new standard for the food industry."

Promising discussions

The year 2020 is likely to be a busy one for INNO-3B. In addition to the relocation, the company is discussing regularly with very large players in the food retail industry, and participated in a round-table on closed-environment agricultural technologies at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center last summer.

Quebec’s healthy food giant Avril Supermarché Santé already relies on INNO-3B's expertise and its CultiGo platform to support the production of microgreens and leafy vegetables for their eight locations across the Province of Quebec.
